In a significant call to action, maize farmers from the western region have been urged to seek certified seeds and fertilizers to improve their crop yields.
This message was delivered during the launch event of the SC 555 Punda Milia hybrid maize variety, held at the Mabanga Agricultural Training Centre.Western Region Territory Manager, Samuel Namale, emphasized the importance of using quality inputs to maximize agricultural productivity. He specifically encouraged farmers to adopt Yara fertilizer, a renowned product designed to boost maize growth and increase harvests. โFarmers should purchase Yara fertilizer from certified agrovets to ensure they are receiving high-quality products,โ Namale advised.In addition to using certified seeds and fertilizers, Namale highlighted the importance of maintaining clean farms.
