Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has issued a bold challenge to Manchester United, insisting that a top-four finish in the Premier League is not just desirable,it’s essential.
Speaking amid United’s recent resurgence, which includes wins over Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton, McCarthy praised the team’s growing identity under manager Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils now sit sixth on the table, just one point shy of the coveted fourth spot.“Top four should be the aim,” McCarthy told Best Betting Sites.“The manager’s had a full season, his philosophy is taking root, and the players are beginning to reflect the true character of Manchester United.”

McCarthy, a former United attack, believes that securing Champions League qualification this season will lay the foundation for a serious title push next year.

He urged the club to set its sights on challenging perennial powerhouses Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal.“United must find themselves among those top teams,” he added. “They’ve got the squad, the talent, and now the momentum.”With no European fixtures to distract them, United have the advantage of a focused schedule.
However, upcoming clashes against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur will test their resolve as they chase a return to the Premier League elite.
