Youth advocate Bernard Mabonga Waliuba, known as ‘Mtu Kazi’, is calling on young Kenyans to take charge of their future by registering to vote ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Launching the campaign “Chukua Kura, Chukua Control ya Future”, he emphasized that real change begins at the ballot box,not on social media. With youth making up over 70% of Kenya’s population, Mtu Kazi urged them to reject political apathy and tribal divisions, warning that silence only empowers poor leadership. He also condemned divisive rhetoric, including alleged remarks by Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, and called for national unity and respectful discourse.
Criticizing the politicization of the new Social Health Authority, he demanded transparency and citizen-focused reforms. On party politics, he defended ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna against internal attacks, urging leaders to prioritize ideas over insults.Mtu Kazi’s message was clear: Kenya’s future depends on informed, united and active citizens.
