The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has announced that it will prioritize the ten-point agenda agreed upon between ODM and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leadership during the formation of the Broad-Based Government, as it prepares for planned pre-election negotiations with like-minded political parties.
Speaking during the ODM Linda Ground Tour in Kakamega, the Party Leader, Hon. Dr. Oburu Oginga, accompanied by Kakamega Governor H.E. Fernandes Barasa and other party leaders, affirmed that ODM is committed to ensuring that all items outlined in the agenda are comprehensively addressed during the forthcoming negotiations.The leaders emphasized that the talks are intended to safeguard the party’s strategic interests while advancing key issues that directly impact the welfare of Kenyans.
They noted that ODM will approach the negotiations guided by clear principles, priorities, and party values.During the meeting, ODM delegates drawn from across Kakamega County unanimously endorsed the decision of the Party’s Central Management Committee (CMC) to mandate the Party Leader, Hon. Dr. Oburu Oginga, to steer the pre-election negotiations with UDA and other political formations.
