Speaking on one of the popular shows in the country, Rapping maestro, Khaligraph jones has come out in defence of Kenyan artistes claiming that, they are doing great in the industry away from the social media.
This comes recently after one of Kenyan artistes “Bahati” came in to emphasize on the need of Kenyan artistes to put a notch higher in a bid to compete the influence of foreign music in the country
Khaligraph Jones went on to stress that the culture of self hate has ravaged to a point of diminishing our own artistes in favor of foreign ones, “…….You can be doing good or doing great but because msee hakupendi, he will go on and say, CELEBRITIES WA KENYA WAKO CHINI….”. He lamented
He also took to the podium to warn Kenyans about generalization of everything, just because of one single or petty Mistake done by artistes in Kenya
He took it to the show to congradulate, moves by Kenyan artistes like Nyashinski and Mejja of taking a foot high in the industry
For so long, Kenyan music has been dwindling behind Tanzanian music and with the uprise of Amapiano, Kenyan Music has been pushed a little bit too much behind.
The uprise of Gengetone saw Kenyan shift from foreign music to local ones but with its slow death, many Kenyans have shifted back to listening bongo Music, afro Music and also the fast uprising amapiano music
