Vihiga Senator Godfrey Otsosi remains resolute after his removal as Deputy Party Leader of the ODM. He has stated that he will not challenge the decision and will continue to advocate for citizens’ rights through the “Linda Mwananchi” movement. This comes amidst criticism from Luhya and Luo elders, who have warned that the move could lead to divisions within the party.
During a press conference in Kakamega, shortly after meeting with Luhya and Luo elders, Otsosi stated that he would not contest the party’s decision. He added that party leaders are free to act as they see fit regarding their positions. Otsosi reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for Kenyans through the “Linda Mwananchi” movement.
Meanwhile, Luhya and Luo elders expressed their dissatisfaction with Otsosi’s removal, saying they were angered by the decision. They argued that any disagreements should have been resolved internally and warned that the move could deepen divisions within the party.
