Today president William Ruto will deliver his first ever state of the nation address since taking over power in September 2022.
Ruto will address a joint Parliamentary sitting of both the national assembly and the Senate in the afternoon,speakers from both houses, Moses wetangula of national assembly and his Senate counterpart Amason Kingi had called on all members to avail themselves at the Parliament buildings.
The last state of the nation address was given by former president Uhuru Kenyatta on November 30TH 2021, this was months before the general elections in which Ruto emerged winner of presidential race and was sworn in office as president of the republic of Kenya.
Now sections of legislators from both government and opposition side want the head of state to address today about the ongoing bipartisan talks at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi,
Kenyans are expecting that president will address the high cost of living and perhaps give hope on how prices including basic commodities and fuel will be reduced.
