Shock as an elderly woman dies after being hit by a car in Mayanja AREA Bungoma County.While calling for the government to ensure that all vehicles have speed governors ,MCA township , Jeremiah Kuloba has said that the narrowness of the road could be the possible cause of the accident that occurred.
Reason Makokha, a resident of Mayanja Market who witnessed the accident that happened has explained the occurrence of the accident and later on called for the county government to expand and repair the roads with potholes.
To prevent the accidents from happening, the following measures should be put in place.
1.strict enforcement of speed limits
2.Heavy penalties should be imposed on all those that cross speedlimits.
3.Existing speed limits should be brought down
4. Tamper proof speed controlers should be mandatory
