President William Ruto was speaking in Nairobi during the salvation army church celebration, the head of state took the opportunity to urge Kenyans to support the government’s housing levy plan, especially for those living in slums to get a chance to own homes.
The head of state said that the housing project has created job opportunities for different youths across the country. In crescent days the attorney general Justin Muturi cautioned the Kenya Revenue Authority KRA, against making any collections from the affordable housing levy, which was declared illegal by the court of appeal on 26th of January 2024.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga has been seen for the resent days to be the one opposing the housing plan, Odinga has now changed the tune and is seen looking forward for the bid to be the African Union chair, as his quest continue to attract support especially from Kenya kwanza administration speaking while in Moibeni Uasin Gishu county, national assembly deputy speaker Gladys Boss Shollei says Odinga’s continental role, will help elevate the country’s status.
