Speaking at a public meeting with the residents of Webuye, the authority through Deputy Director David Mugweru, he said that business of selling scrap metals has contributed to citizens picking up metals from roads and selling them especially the road signs indications, which has contributed to many accidents in the country.
He therefore warned those who will be found destroying roads to be taken strict legal measures.
Residents who attended the meeting accused the authorities of diverting road waters to their fields and demanded that the issues should be properly addressed.
However, the Director of the authority Walter Natwanga assured residents that their complaints will be addressed and they may find a solution to the issue.
