Pressure from young people has prompted President William Ruto to dissolve his cabinet, with the office of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua remaining with the foreign ministry, led by Musalia Mudavadi, this comes after youth led protests across the country calling for a change in leadership.
The president, who was delivering a speech at the State House in Nairobi, reiterated his statement on banning all government officials from engaging in any of the meetings. The public says the law is ready and will soon come into force.
The head of state says that despite the success his government has achieved, under the limited time he has been in power, Kenyans still have high expectations from him, among his promises, during the 2022 campaign.
