It was during the church event in Nyeri county, the home to the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, where by top leaders including president William Ruto attended the service, while Gachagua skips as he attend a different church service.
Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s seat at the event, remained unoccupied, at the AIPCA church in Nyeri county.
While addressing the congregants, president William Ruto sounded what was seen to be a warning to his deputy, to stop early campaigns and focus on service delivery.
The head of state went on urging leaders not to focus on the 2027 general elections,he asked his deputy not to place political cards early for him to win, saying it has remained 3 years before the general elections.
Earlier in the morning, the leader of majority in the national assembly Kimani Ichungwa,at stewards revival pentecostal church in Nairobi, asked the Head of state to sack his deputy, calling him a snake in president’s circle.
