“Aren’t you going to allow me to traverse the whole nation? Rumors surrounding his candidacy have been further fueled by endorsements from Jubilee Party stalwarts, who have openly championed his potential run. His tour also featured a strategic meeting with Kisii Governor Simba Arati a prominent ODM figure. Their closed-door discussions lasting about 30 minutes, immediately sparked speculations about potential political realignments. Following the meeting,Matiangโi and Arati appeared together at a Capital Roundabout rally, riding through the streets of Kisii in the same car, an act that heightened intrigue about Arati’s allegiance.

The governor, long regarded as a staunch Raila Odinga ally, has remained loyal to ODM for decades.Yet his visible camaraderie with Matiangโi has raised questions about shifting alliances as Kenyaโs political landscape continues to evolve.
