A section of Gatundu south residents held a birthday party to celebrate retired President Uhuru Kenyatta who turned 62 yesterday being on Thursday 26th of October.
The residents and traders sent messages of will to the former president whom they say was instrumental in constructing the Gatundu modern market where they operate from.
A rare ceremony to celebrate the former head of state Uhuru Kenyatta took place at the Gatundu market at Gatundu South in Kiambu county as traders broke to songs and dances on Thursday 26th October.This was the mood in the former President’s home area as they celebrated his 62nd birthday in style.
The traders thanked the former president for constructing this multi- million shilling Gatundu Modern market.Other development projects that came up during the reign of Uhuru Kenyatta include Mamangina University at Mtomo village , the first university in Gatundu south that has brought higher learning closer and high growth in the area.A cake was cut in the honour of the frame president as the residents call for unity of mount Kenya region.
The residents saying that Kenyatta is the Mt.Kenya region kingpin and his leadership will start the region to greater heights.The former president has remained largely quiet since his handover of power to president William Ruto on breaking his silence on politics.
