Going without teachers after experiencing temporary paralysis of learning for a week, students at St. Gabriel Isongo at Mumias East can now smile, after the replacement of 17 teachers that were transferred.
The Teachers Service Commission in a statement, sent a formal apology from elected leaders of Kakamega and consideration of learners welfares prompted the deployment of teachers.
On 12th of this month, the principal of the school and the the director of studies, were forcefully rejected from the school by the angry parents and boda boda riders over poor performance.
The teachers employer said that, “It is not the teacher’s responsibility to propel learners to success but also parents have their role to play.”
Normalcy is gradually returning school. The education and security stakeholders in a meeting resolved two among many things to ensure the school fence is not rigorous and to keep of all infiltration of local politics in a running of the school.
