A section of Azimio la umoja politicians has given wiper leader Kalonzo musyoka new demands, if he will seek their support to vie for presidential seat in 2027 general elections.
Kalonzo has been asked to initiate and participate in the demonstrations, which has spark outrage in the Eastern counties where, wiper leader has full support from the residents, the counties include Machakos, Kitui and Makueni county.
The Azimio National Executive Chair who is also former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya cautioned that azimio coalition has other principles and it would be hard for Kalonzo to act as if he is the one to be Azimio flagbearer.
While attending a church service in Machakos county Migori senator Eddie Oketch and his Vihiga counterpart Godfrey Otsosi talked about the matter saying that if Kalonzo will be approved they are ready to support his candidature.
President William Ruto’s support to Raila Odinga’s bid to be the AU chair has raised concerns in Odinga’s team urging that there might be a deal which is secretly guarded and could reshape Kenya’s future politics.
Others have claimed that this could mark the beginning of ODM party collaborating with president William Ruto.
