Azimio la umoja coalition and ODM party are facing succession politics both of which have been under Odinga who has shown the interest in the AU chairmanship position, over the weekend NACK kenya leaders have been pushing Karua to succeed Odinga in the Azimio coalition.
Citizens have expressed their views concerning the succession politics in the coalition, others are pushing former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya to be the ODM party leader despite Odinga appointing him together with former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho to be in charge of the party in his absence.
The politics in the coalition has placed wiper leader Kalonzo musyoka at a crossroad,as he had been angling to lead the coalition,and has maintained that Raila’s absence will not in any way create a vaccume in the coalition as he is ready to lead the country.
Odinga’s succession politics has been extended to ODM party as key leaders seek to take over as party leader, others suggesting youth leader to be appointed as ODM party leader to succeed Raila Odinga who has been the party leader for 19 years.
Former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya and former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho have seen pushing different directions each one requesting to succeed Raila Odinga as the ODM party leader.
