

Nearly two months after officially declaring his bid for the 2027 gubernatorial race, Bungoma gubernatorial aspirant Tim Wanyonyi has been formally endorsed by supporters during a rally in Kaptama, Mt. Elgon.
The endorsement ceremony was attended by local leaders and residents who described Wanyonyi as a courageous leader with vision and a strong commitment to development.In his address, Wanyonyi pledged to prioritize infrastructure by improving roads and connectivity in Mt. Elgon, ensuring that remote communities are better linked with urban centers.He also promised to establish secure business systems that would promote economic activity while working closely with security agencies to guarantee peace and stability in the county.
Wanyonyi highlighted his agenda of empowering women and youth through development groups, stressing that uplifting these groups would transform Bungoma’s economy and create inclusive opportunities.On September 19, he participated in a women’s empowerment event in Mt. Elgon, where he made a major contribution and reaffirmed his resolve to enhance women’s participation in development.

The following day, he toured West Nalondo, where he engaged directly with residents and outlined key pillars of his manifesto, assuring them of full implementation if elected governor.These engagements have placed Bungoma gubernatorial aspirant Tim Wanyonyi at the center of the county’s political discourse, positioning him as a fresh political choice and a beacon of renewed hope as the 2027 elections draw closer.
