Opposition leaders have questioned the credibility and performance of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), accusing it of awarding a tender to a technology firm that will be used in the upcoming 2027 General Election.
They allege that senior officials of the technology company have been holding secret meetings in Nairobi to plan how to manipulate the results of the election.Speaking during a funeral ceremony in Kipipiri, Nyandarua County, the leaders strongly criticized IEBC Chief Executive Officer Marjan Hussein Marjan, accusing him of unlawfully extending the company’s preparation timeline in violation of electoral laws.
They also dismissed the President’s call to transform the country into a “Singapore-style economy,” arguing that the government is using the vision to silence criticism, while Kenyans continue to struggle with the rising cost of living and widespread corruption.
