The National Housing Corporation has signed a contract with Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology to construct a modern lecture hall aimed at improving the institution’s infrastructure.
Speaking during a meeting at the university, Vice Chancellor Professor Solomon Shibairo said the project is designed to address the growing student population and the shortage of lecture halls and examination rooms. He noted that the new facility will ease congestion and provide a better learning environment.“The construction of this hall is necessitated by the growing number of students and the limited facilities available,” said Prof. Shibairo.
National Housing Corporation Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer David Mathu assured that the project will be completed within four months. He emphasized that modern and efficient technology will be used to ensure the facility meets the highest standards and provides students with a conducive environment for learning, research, and innovation.“The project will be completed in under four months, and we will ensure that it meets the highest standards,” said Mr. Mathu.
The partnership between NHC and MMUST is expected to significantly boost the university’s capacity to accommodate students while enhancing academic excellence and innovation.
